What must appear on every report and client communication?

In force

Two overlapping sets, and the second one surprises people.

On your website, notice board, advertisements, publications, KYC forms and client agreements: your name as registered with SEBI, your logo, your registration number, and your complete address with telephone numbers.

On statements, reports and any other correspondence with a client, all of the above plus the compliance officer's name, telephone number and email, and the grievance officer's or grievance cell's name, telephone number and email.

That is a footer on every report, not a line on your website.

This also answers the branding question. You may trade under a brand name, but your registered name has to travel with it wherever these rules apply.

You must also carry the disclaimer that registration with SEBI and NISM certification do not guarantee performance or assure returns, and you may not use the SEBI logo.

What SEBI says, word for word
