Must I have a website, and what has to appear on it?
In force
Yes. Keeping a functional website became a requirement under Regulation 19A, and you had to confirm your website details to RAASB by 30 June 2025.
SEBI has never published a single checklist of what the website must contain. The items below come from separate clauses that each require display.
Your name as registered, your logo, your registration number, and your full address with telephone numbers.
The disclaimer, which must also appear in client correspondence: "Registration granted by SEBI and certification from NISM in no way guarantee performance of the intermediary or provide any assurance of returns to investors."
The Investor Charter, and your monthly complaints data by the 7th of each month.
The status of your compliance audit report, plus any adverse findings and what you did about them.
Do not use the SEBI logo.
In statements, reports and other correspondence you must additionally give the compliance officer's name, phone and email, and the same for the grievance officer.
One caution. The disclaimer appears in three slightly different forms across the Master Circular and the MITC, one of which adds "enlistment with BSE". SEBI has not reconciled them.
