You now have until January 31, 2027 to appoint an IAAP auditor, get your digital platforms audited and fix what the audit finds.
On October 30, 2026, SEBI extended the deadline for three steps under its digital accessibility circulars to January 31, 2027. The circular is addressed to, among others, BSE Limited in its role as the Research Analysts Administration and supervisory body (RAASB).
The earlier circulars apply the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 and the rules made under it to all Regulated Entities. There are five of them, dated July 31, 2025, August 29, 2025, September 25, 2025, December 08, 2025 and July 31, 2026.
The extension covers three steps: - Appointment of an IAAP auditor. - Conduct of an accessibility audit for your digital platforms. - Remediation of the findings from that audit.
You must finish all three by January 31, 2027. That includes fixing the findings, not only starting the audit. If you have not yet appointed an auditor, the audit and the fixes still have to be done by the same date.
Nothing else moves. All other provisions of the earlier circulars stay unchanged, and you must still comply with them. This circular does not list those provisions. They are set out in the five earlier circulars.
SEBI granted the extension after Regulated Entities asked for more time and after it reviewed their compliance status. The circular was issued under Section 11(1) of the SEBI Act, 1992, and the new date applies now.
The circular does not state the earlier deadline it replaces. It does not explain what IAAP stands for, which digital platforms are covered or how you report completion. For those points, go back to the earlier circulars.
